**168 hours in every week!

Did you know there are 168 hours in each week??
That seems like a lot of time right?! Well it can be if we are using it strategically to reach our goals and meet our needs (physically, emotionally, spiritually, relationally, familially, vocationally, mentally, etc)
Have you budgeted your time like a financial budget to determine where your time is going? This can be an eye-opening experience the first time you do it! I encourage you to try it out...and be honest with yourself :)

I always remind myself and my clients, when we become aware (data from this time budget experience is becoming aware!) we can now do something with our newfound awareness. So even if it's hard to do, just like a financial budget can be hard to do the first time, we gain new information about where our time is spent and how that lines up with our goals, dreams, and value systems. Are we proud of what we see? Are we making positive strides towards the goals/dreams we talk about? Do we feel balanced? What's going well and what needs improvement in our time budget?

I love to go for walks, stretch, and lift weights so I budget time in my week for this self-care. I also value quality sleep so I do my best to budget 8-9 hours for that (when my baby sleeps through the night!)

EMDR therapy is another form of mental, physical, and emotional self-care.
Did you know that a two day EMDR intensive (5 hours total) is only 3% of your weekly 168 hour budget?
3% that's it!!
Sometimes people hear "two-day intensive" and they think we're doing EMDR for eight hours each day...we're not! I don't believe that would be the most effective approach. Our brains and bodies need a shorter window of time to work. I've found that 2.5 hours is the sweet spot for each intensive day. We're able to accomplish so much in that time but it's not overwhelming. This is the feedback I've received from my clients.
The enduring, life-changing results of participating in a two-day EMDR intensive are well worth the small investment of your week. You're worth it! And I'm confident you'll be so thankful you carved out time to spend that 3% on results that will last for your mental, emotional, and physical wellness!
